Terms of Service

Last updated: July 21, 2026

These terms describe the rules for using RoastIdea, its AI output, generated reports, sharing features, and one-time purchases.

The service

RoastIdea provides AI-assisted startup idea validation, advisor conversations, market, competitor, and user research, scorecards, PRDs, GTM strategies, saved context, generated reports, exports, and public share links. Features may change as the service evolves.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in method, and activity performed through your account. You must be legally able to accept these terms and use the service in your location.

AI output and professional decisions

AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. RoastIdea does not guarantee demand, market size, competitor coverage, financial performance, fundraising outcomes, or startup success.

You are responsible for reviewing generated analysis and verifying important claims before making product, investment, financial, legal, tax, hiring, security, or other professional decisions. RoastIdea is not a substitute for qualified professional advice.

Your content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give RoastIdea the permission needed to host, process, analyze, transform, and display that content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You must have the right to submit the content you provide.

Acceptable use

Do not use RoastIdea to break the law, violate rights, upload malware, probe private systems, evade safeguards, interfere with the service, misrepresent generated output as guaranteed fact, or submit confidential information without authorization.

One-time purchases, taxes, and refunds

Prices, included entitlements, taxes, and payment terms are shown at checkout. One-time purchases are processed by the payment provider. Refunds are issued for technical delivery failures — for example, a report that failed to generate or a charge that did not unlock the entitlement paid for. Refunds are not issued because you disagree with a verdict or a generated report. Contact [email protected] with a billing issue.

Affiliate program

The affiliate program is opt-in. Participants receive a unique referral code and earn 30% commission on one-time purchases (Starter, Builder, or Pack) made by customers who signed up through their referral link and completed checkout. Commissions are not earned on signups alone.

Referral attribution uses a first-party cookie with a 30-day window from the visitor's first visit through the referral link. Self-referrals are not allowed. Commissions are held for 30 days before becoming approved; if the referred purchase is refunded or charged back during the hold period, the commission is reversed. Paid commissions may be clawed back in the event of a later refund or chargeback.

Approved commissions are paid out via Stripe. RoastIdea may suspend or terminate affiliate accounts engaged in fraud, self-referral abuse, or activity that violates these terms, and may reverse any associated commissions. The affiliate program may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Public share links

You control whether to create public share links. You are responsible for checking shared content and ensuring you have the right to disclose it. Anyone with the link may view the content while sharing remains enabled.

Availability and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service and may restrict access when needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, payment issues, or service integrity. You may stop using RoastIdea at any time and may request account deletion.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, RoastIdea is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular decision. Liability limitations that apply to your use of the service are subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded in your location.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. Contact [email protected] with questions.
